These terms cover use of BookVia (built by Scratch Solid Solutions) - the booking page a vendor sets up, and the dashboard they manage it from. By creating a BookVia account or booking through a BookVia storefront, you agree to these terms.

What BookVia is

BookVia lets a small business run bookings, orders, and payments through a public storefront page and WhatsApp - without needing a separate app. Starter is free; Pro and Unlimited are paid plans with more capacity and features, described in full on our pricing page.

Vendor responsibilities

The information on your storefront (offerings, prices, hours, photos) is your responsibility to keep accurate.
You must have the right to message the WhatsApp numbers you upload as customers, and to broadcast to them only with their consent.
You're responsible for delivering what you sell through BookVia - we provide the booking and payment infrastructure, not the underlying goods or services.
A platform fee (currently 7.4% - BookVia's 4.5% plus 2.9% to cover card-processing costs - with a minimum of R3 per transaction, the same across every plan) applies to paid transactions, in addition to any monthly plan fee. Paid through BookVia's gateway, it's deducted from your payout automatically; collected in cash or by EFT yourself, it's charged to your card on file once your unpaid total reaches R100 or 60 days pass, whichever comes first - see pricing for the full policy, including what happens if a charge fails.

Customer responsibilities

When you book through a vendor's BookVia page, you're entering an arrangement with that vendor, not with BookVia directly. BookVia processes the booking and payment on the vendor's behalf but isn't a party to what's actually booked.

Payments and refunds

Live deposits and payments are processed through Paystack. When a vendor cancels a Paystack-paid booking, BookVia automatically requests a full refund and records its status; provider failures are placed into manual review. A customer may still contact the vendor or support if the refund does not arrive. Ozow is not currently represented as a live payment or payout rail. Platform-fee treatment follows the applicable cancellation and consumer-law requirements rather than overriding them.

Acceptable use

You may not use BookVia to send unsolicited messages, collect payment for anything illegal, misrepresent your business, or attempt to circumvent the platform fee. We may suspend an account that violates these terms or abuses the platform (including WhatsApp messaging limits) to protect other vendors and customers.

Availability

We aim to keep BookVia available and reliable, but like any hosted service it can experience downtime. We're not liable for losses caused by service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

Changes

We may update these terms as BookVia evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
