Questions

Do my customers need to download anything?

No app or BookVia account is required. Booking can start inside WhatsApp; a secure BookVia payment page opens only when a deposit is required.

What if I'm not techy?

Setup is your business name, what you do, and your WhatsApp number — your page is live in under a minute.

Is it really free to start?

Yes. Starter is R0/month, no card required to sign up, up to 15 bookings a month.

What happens if I outgrow the free plan?

You can upgrade any time from your dashboard. See pricing for what each plan includes.

Is there a fee on top of my plan?

Yes, a 7.4% platform fee (our 4.5% plus 2.9% to cover card-processing costs) on every completed transaction, with a minimum of R3 per transaction, the same on every plan — there's no version of BookVia without it. If a booking is paid through our payment gateway, it's deducted automatically before your payout, so there's nothing for you to do. If you collect a booking in cash or by EFT yourself, we invoice you for the fee and charge it to your card on file automatically once your unpaid total reaches R100 (or after 60 days, whichever comes first). If that charge fails, we retry automatically over the next two weeks; if it's still unpaid after that, new bookings are paused until you settle up — your page and existing bookings stay live the whole time.
